This post is all about guitars. I know there are some guitarists among us. What are you playing on (guitar/amp/effects)? I've been getting back into the old acoustic lately and I'm just wondering what you guys are using.
The last mystery song was indeed Creedence Clearwater Revival with "Lookin' Out My Back Door". Major Mack and The Angry Vegetarian both guessed CCR but neither of them got the song right. How should I go about distributing the points? 4.5 to each?

An Easy Mystery Song
I always seem to think these will be easy, though.

Ishkur's Guide To Electronic Music
I thought this would be a nice little site to share with all you folks out there who are confused by all the stupid genres and subgenres of electronic music out there.
http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/
Now I just need to figure out the differences between all the -cores that have taken over the metal scene.
Also, I saw Tron Legacy a few days ago and I was wondering what you guys thought of the soundtrack by Daft Punk. I think it was quite effective as a soundtrack as long as you try not to think of it as a new album from Daft Punk and see it for what it is; a movie soundtrack.

Preview of A New Song
Ooooohhhh..... An exclusive preview of my latest song for all my dear blogfolk out there.
Tell me what you think of it thus far. I left out the vocals because they were shitty and I just had them there to fill up the space where the new vocals will go once I record a good enough take.
And another mystery song! 1 point to anyone who guesses "Seek and Destroy" even though it's not the answer. Feel free to guess twice.

Hardware Reviews Part 6
Digitech DF-7 Distortion Factory Modeling Pedal - $100 (7/10)
I've been borrowing this pedal from a friend of mine for a while now, and I'm very pleasantly surprised by the cool effect it has on synth and drum sounds. It works well for guitar if you're playing on a mediocre amp that doesn't already have very good distortion built in. When I used this with my guitar plugged into a nice tube amp that already had great built-in distortion, it sounded shitty by comparison when I turned on the pedal. The quality difference isn't huge enough that you couldn't work it into a live setup so you had more distortion options. There are seven different distortion models to choose from, each offering a drastically different EQ response. Some of them really suck for guitar but offer crazy changes to synth sounds. Overall, it just depends on how you use it and what you're using it for. This pedal has its limits, but once you learn to work with them, it can be a powerful tool.Successes
-Plenty of different distortion models.
-Powerful digital distortion.
-I was able to imitate the guitar sounding synth from Aerodynamic by Daft Punk using this and my MS2000.
Failures
-Not a replacement for good tube distortion.
-Eats up electricity.
Also, two points to anyone who starts their comment with the word "I".

Goldwave Lesson - Kick Drum
Hey everybody. Sorry about my lack of posting. I've been rather busy lately, but I'm back now with a new video for you. It's pretty basic, but I'm sure there's somebody out there that could benefit from it.

A Recent Project
I've recorded something I created with my Korg MS2000 since you gentlemen requested it. This is without any added distortion, just the options built into the machine. It took me a while to get this sound, and I was very pleasantly surprised when I finally did.
Also, in the spirit of Christmas, 3 points to anyone whose post contains the word "sarsaparilla".
